To be fair, religion is one of many factors contributing to war. I WILL say however that region is the key MOTIVATION for some fighters on either side of a conflict. But mostly, wars are being fought for resources, ironically and debatably for peace and sometimes for the protection of an oppressed people that another nation feels obliged to safeguard.
